How do ProHair Fibre Extensions work?

ProHair Fibre Extensions are applied using "The Gun" professional heat clamp which creates a small heat seal round the base of the extension locking it in place. This means that ProHair Extensions are undetectable whilst producing natural looking hairstyles.

Isn't it hard to take care of extensions?

ProHair Extensions are easier to care for than natural hair! Simply apply a light mist of ProHair Daily Conditioning Spray before brushing. To wash and condition your hair and extensions use ProHair Frequent Use Shampoo and ProHair Conditioning Rinse as required. All the ProHair Aftercare Range has been specially formulated to cleanse, condition, detangle and give sheen, they are pH balanced and are excellent for natural hair as well. Use these products as directed to keep the style you create looking great, at an affordable price. Our Extensions Care leaflet has easy to follow advice to help you maintain, groom and style your extensions.

Can I use a curling iron or flat iron with ProHair Extensions?

No. Contact with direct metal heat must be avoided, as it is too hot for ProHair. ProHair can easily be curled with hot rollers or straightened with warm heat from the hair dryer. Consult your stylist for advice on the best styling methods for you.

What if some of the extensions come out?

It is usual for a few extensions to come out in the first few days after application, your stylist will be pleased to replace these if necessary.

How much does it cost for fill-ins?

Fill-ins are normally charged based on an hourly rate. Hourly charges vary so consult your stylists on the best maintenance plan for you.

Will my hair come out when the extensions are removed?

Not due to breakage or stress as with other methods of extensions. Normal daily hair loss is 50-100 hairs per day depending on the season of the year, (less when it's cold and more when it's warm). When you wear extensions, the hairs you normally lose stay trapped in the extension and do not fall out or brush out each day. Therefore, when you see some of your hair coming out with the extension, do not panic. Consult your hairdresser if you have questions or problems with hair loss.

How do I take the extensions out?

It is best if your stylist removes ProHair Extensions, even though no chemicals, solvents or cutting are required. In certain instances, your stylist can show you how to remove them at home. Removal is easy, you simply twist and fracture the heat seal and the extension will slide off, leaving no residue or damaging to your hair.
